Danielle & Jodie Snyder, Founders of Dannijo Designer Jewelry
Celebs Love Dannijo Jewelry
Founded by sisters Danielle and Jodie Snyder, Dannijo is a fashion jewelry label and lifestyle brand known for its eclectic fusion of raw flair and timeless style. The Dannijo jewelry line is a favorite among celebrities, including Beyoncé, Natalie Portman, Blake Lively, and Michelle Trachtenberg, and is carried at style-leading retailers such as Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel, Intermix, Harvey Nichols, and Holt Renfrew.
Dannijo’s First Jewelry Boutique
Danielle and Jodie Snyder taught themselves how to make handmade jewelry as children, playing with their father’s medical tools. The sisters opened their first store, Dannijo Jewels, in their hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, in 2003. They stocked their handcrafted designer jewelry collection as well as a range of other fashion jewelry and accessories labels and quickly became a favorite area boutique.
Natalie Portman Loves Dannijo
The young designers then teamed up to create a jewelry collection to benefit L.W.A.L.A. Natalie Portman mentioned the collection in New York Magazine’s Gift Guide as the “gift to give,” making Dannijo the trendy jewelry pieces to have. Since launching in 2008, the sisters have used their Dannijo jewelry line to collaborate with a range of fashion designers for New York Fashion Week, including Luca Luca, Trovata, Bensoni, Nima, and Walter.
The Dannijo Jewelry Look: Modern Jewelry with a Beaded Handcrafted Feel
All Dannijo pieces are handmade in New York using various contemporary jewelry metals—oxidized silver, gold, and gunmetal—and then mixed with bold, colorful elements, including drusy quartz, crystals, aqua aura, and pearls. Combining Danielle’s bohemian whimsy and Jodie’s old-world sophistication, the range includes bold cuffs and bracelets, statement necklaces and rings, and intricately crafted earrings.
