Celebrity Christmas Ornaments Sparkle for St. Jude’s
When I saw these twinkly ornaments recently at the heART HSN 2010 Designer Ornament Collection launch party at HSN’s New York offices, they were dangling from ribbons and displayed on pedestals. There were glamorous celebrities, sparkly fake snow, and festive cheer in abundance. It was almost enough to make me wish it were winter—almost. And with 70 celebrity-designed holiday ornaments in the collection, you’re going to wish Christmas wasn’t 67 days away.
Stars & Christmas Tree Ornaments
Christmas-ornament designers don’t ordinarily become household names akin to fashion designers, but I’m pretty sure you’ll recognize one or two—or all—of those who created ornaments for this project. Think Jonathan Adler, Nate Berkus, Mary J. Blige, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Fran Drescher, Iman, Emeril Lagasse, Padma Lakshmi, Susan Lucci, Sarah Jessica Parker, Molly Sims, Tori Spelling, Jennifer and Sylvester Stallone, Gwen Stefani, Martha Stewart, Marlo Thomas, and Twiggy, among others.
Unique Christmas Ornaments for All
Many of the holiday ornaments twinkle with Swarovski crystals, and their styles are as individual as the celebrities who designed them: monochromatic or colorful, minimalist or ornate, abstract or figurative. What they have in common? That you’ll want them all. This early tease of holiday cheer is available starting today on HSN’s website and through its television segments. Why do we care? The Christmas tree ornaments are $19.90–$49.90, and 100% of the profits—a minimum of 30% of the purchase price—go to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, which treats children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses while looking for cures. Now, that is the definition of true holiday spirit.
