Morning of the Jewelry Presentation: 6:45 a.m.
Danielle Snyder: My first alarm goes off to Pepper Rabbit’s “Older Brother.” Love that song . . . I hit snooze; 2 minutes later, my second alarm that sounds like a fire alarm goes off. Ughh! Wish I could sleep ’til noon, but our show’s today! I jump out of bed, brush my teeth, wash my face and hop in the shower. I’m still obsessed with Fresh Brown Sugar Body Scrub, so I give myself a good wash and finally wake up. I throw on my favorite jeans, a Topshop blouse, vintage lace blouse over it, and then my vintage fur vest. I’m so sick of this weather. I grab a big tweed coat and my favorite scarf, and walk up 1 flight to grab Jo (who lives directly above me!) . . .
Jodie Snyder: My alarm goes off. I grab my phone to check e-mails, scan WWD in bed, and then get ready for the day. I put on my favorite leather pants and lace blouse and decide what I am bringing to wear at our presentation. Danielle knocks at my door and helps me pick out what shoes to bring for the presentation. With a bag in hand, we head out for the day.
Getting Ready for the Lucky FABB Breakfast: 7:40 a.m.
Jodie Snyder: Danielle and I take a cab to the Lucky FABB breakfast we are co-hosting. I am already on the phone with our set-designer and stylist to finalize last-minute details for the presentation later today. We started installing the set the day before so we are going over the final additions—flowers, lighting, and coordinating the rest of the day.
Find Out Brandon Holley Is a Dannijo Fan: 8:00 a.m.
Danielle Snyder: Jo + I arrive at the Lucky FABB breakfast, which we’re co-hosting. Brandon Holley greets us when we get upstairs and admits to being a DANNIJO fan. Love her. Rebecca Minkoff is also a host, so we chat it up with her for a bit. We meet loads of bloggers and take lots of pics. I’m instagraming, tumbling, and tweeting like crazy because we don’t have much time . . .
Jodie Snyder: Danielle and I were busy talking at the FABB conference, so decide to grab breakfast together before we head to the showroom.
Back to the Dannijo Showroom to Catch Up: 9:30 a.m.
Danielle Snyder: We head to showroom to finalize styling for presentation along with last-minute edits to the jewels and catch up on emails. I blast out a few reminder emails for tonight’s show, look over final DJ setlist, and our latest press hits. Alas, Starbucks has arrived!! (I’m an addict for those Soy Misto’s.) My Misto isjust as I like it—heavy on the soy. Big day ahead, and I’m getting really excited. Roses + a cute note arrive from my beau. Our PR team sends through our interview schedule . . .
Last-Minute Prep Is Never-Ending for Designers: 1:30 p.m.
Jodie Snyder: Kat, the stylist, arrives at the showroom to pack up all of the clothes/jewelry, and we head over to the space. We help get the downstairs ready for the hair/makeup and nail teams. Our parents are in town so arrive ready to help however they can—which means my dad taking pictures of everyone and everything in the space.
Off to Our First NY Fashion Week Presentation: 2:00 p.m.
Danielle Snyder: Head to venue. Lots of logistics to take care of . . . we move the mirrors, tables, and chairs to the downstairs for hair + makeup to set up. We throw on our clothes and get ready for our first interview. Mom and Dad arrive and we take some quick pics . . . we order pizza to the venue and eat between interviews.
Jodie Snyder: All of the models start arriving and get ready for showtime. We keep checking backstage in between interviews to see the progress.
Jodie Snyder: Billy from Billy’s Antiques arrives with a cigar in hand. He is modeling in our show and is a great addition to the set.
Jodie Snyder: All of the models are ready, so Danielle and I help with final adjustments to the jewelry.
Presenting the Dannijo Jewelry Collection: 6:30 p.m.
Danielle Snyder: Show starts. Models look AMAZE. The set is unreal!!!
Danielle Synder: Break down and take jewels/clothes back to showroom.
Danielle Snyder: Head to Brinkley’s for our afterparty. Burgers!!! And yummy food awaits.
The End of a LONG Day for the Jewelry Designers: 1:30 a.m.
Danielle Snyder: In bed with my iPad. I check the latest tweets and press hits, blast a few emails, and lights out! Excited for tomorrow . . . still have the Vena Cava collab + Bibhu Mohapatra’s presentation featuring DANNIJO in the next few days . . .
Jodie Snyder: Lights out.

Celebs Love Dannijo Jewelry
Founded by sisters Danielle and Jodie Snyder, Dannijo is a fashion jewelry label and lifestyle brand known for its eclectic fusion of raw flair and timeless style. The Dannijo jewelry line is a favorite among celebrities, including Beyoncé, Natalie Portman, Blake Lively, and Michelle Trachtenberg, and is carried at style-leading retailers such as Bergdorf Goodman, Henri Bendel, Intermix, Harvey Nichols, and Holt Renfrew.
Dannijo’s First Jewelry Boutique
Danielle and Jodie Snyder taught themselves how to make handmade jewelry as children, playing with their father’s medical tools. The sisters opened their first store, Dannijo Jewels, in their hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, in 2003. They stocked their handcrafted designer jewelry collection as well as a range of other fashion jewelry and accessories labels and quickly became a favorite area boutique.
Natalie Portman Loves Dannijo
The young designers then teamed up to create a jewelry collection to benefit L.W.A.L.A. Natalie Portman mentioned the collection in New York Magazine’s Gift Guide as the “gift to give,” making Dannijo the trendy jewelry pieces to have. Since launching in 2008, the sisters have used their Dannijo jewelry line to collaborate with a range of fashion designers for New York Fashion Week, including Luca Luca, Trovata, Bensoni, Nima, and Walter.
The Dannijo Jewelry Look: Modern Jewelry with a Beaded Handcrafted Feel
All Dannijo pieces are handmade in New York using various contemporary jewelry metals—oxidized silver, gold, and gunmetal—and then mixed with bold, colorful elements, including drusy quartz, crystals, aqua aura, and pearls. Combining Danielle’s bohemian whimsy and Jodie’s old-world sophistication, the range includes bold cuffs and bracelets, statement necklaces and rings, and intricately crafted earrings.
