Ask Melissa: LAVO New York, Fave Place For Lunch Salads in NYC
I am always running around the city scouting new trends, writing, taping video, attending meetings, and of course seeing my kids when they are home from school. Eating a satisfying and yummy lunch is so important to help me get through the day. One of my favorite lunch spots is LAVO (a mix of great food and people) and it is conveniently located in midtown Manhattan. LAVO is known for their Southern Italian Cuisine (the 1 lb. Kobe meatball is out of this world) and they just expanded their lunch menu and added some great new salads including the Organic Mixed Green Salad, Roasted Beet Salad, Margherita Salad, Park Avenue Salad, Roasted Chicken Caesar Salad, Chopped “Louie” Salad, Grilled Salmon Salad and Beef Steak Tips Salad. My friends took me to there for my birthday last year and I have been a huge fan ever since. And if you can’t make it there for lunch or dinner, I recommend heading over there after work for cocktail hour or stop by and try the LAVO burger served with parmegiano truffle fries from their new late night menu (served from 1 am-3am).
