Are you a true fan of spicy fare? I’d like to dub’s Dragon’s Breath Grilled Salmon a “spicy challenge” for its combo of red-hot jalapeno peppers, horseradish, and garlic, simmered just a bit with mayo on good-for-ya salmon fillets.

Get gourmet—really gourmet—with your burger via’s Andouille and Beef Burgers with Spicy Mayo and Caramelized Onions (originally from Bon Appetit). Sure, this burger may take a fair amount of prep time, but I can guarantee that the end result, a yummy andouille sausage-beef combo burger, spicy mayo with Cajun or Creole seasoning, and hot pepper sauce for a kick, and caramelized onions, is worth the time spent.

A typical side of baked beans gets a serious boost with spicy mustard, mesquite grilling sauce, and bacon with Food Network’s Mesquite BBQ Beans (courtesy Sandra Lee). All it takes is four easy ingredients and firing this baby up on a grill for 30 for a sumptuous side.

If you want to be in control of just how much spice you add to your dishes,’s Spicy Ginger BBQ Sauce is the perfect solution. Fiery ingredients like onions, ginger, garlic, mustard, Worcestershire, cayenne, and more make this the perfect topping for your steak or other barbecue fixin’s.

Making a cake as a barbecue dessert is a given, but surprise everyone’s taste buds with Rachael Ray’s Chocolate-Chile Cake (via contributor Daisy Martinez). A rich medley of espresso or coffee, brown sugar, and chocolate is enhanced by the spicy zip of cinnamon and cayenne pepper.

Girls Night Out New York City is June 22-24, so be sure to get your tickets! Whether you’re coming in from out of town, or happen to call the tri-state area home, be sure to check out what we consider the city’s hottest haunts.

To Eat: The Meatball Shop, 84 Stanton Street, NY, NY (212) 982-8895

Why We  It:

The wait is usually pretty long (but so worth it!), and now that temps are rising, it’ll be much more comfortable to dilly dally while you wait!

Their homemade ice cream sandwiches allow you to mix and match their ice cream flavors with their cookies, resulting in absolute heaven. Now that summer is approaching, they’re pretty much a must-eat.

If waiting isn’t your thing, you can always get take-out and enjoy the deliciousness on the go!

To Relax: Ten Over Ten, 112 Reade Street, NY, NY (212) 406-1010

Why We  It:

This downtown nail salon feels like a relaxed apartment.

iPads are available for all manicure or pedicure clients so you can get things done and/or relax while you indulge.

Vintage décor enhances the ambiance of this chic yet low-key space.

Why We  It:

This Italian Candyland is really quite indescribable. Part market, part restaurant(s), whole amazingness.
