Tanya’s Tips for Eating Healthy while Eating Out

  • Always order an appetizer, a salad with dressing on the side or a broth-based soup.
  • Ask for the basket of bread to be removed from the table.
  • Order all dressings and sauces on the side.
  • Go for grilled, steamed, or baked over pan seared or fried.
  • Always request your dishes to be made “light”—less oil.
  • Avoid ordering anything described as “creamy” or “crispy”.
