Things to Do in the Hamptons: Hamptons Hot List, Part 1

By Samantha Yanks, Editor-in-Chief

Gotham and Hamptons Magazines

We all have our favorite spots in the Hamptons, but I always love the beginning of summer. The new season brings new places to work out, dine, and shop. And, there’s nothing like being the first to know, and try, what’s soon to be hot in our favorite beach community. Truly, there is so much happening on the East End, you won’t want to leave.

Places to Visit in the Hamptons for Fashion:

2 Newtown Lane, East Hampton

One year after opening in Southampton, Monica Forman has opened Magaschoni’s second Hamptons store, complete with its signature colorful cashmeres and exclusive Carlos Falchi python handbags.

Michael Kors

30 Main Street, Southampton
After making his mark in East Hampton, the soon-to-be-awarded CFDA recipient has opened another store in Southampton, full of Hamptons-specific designs.

2415 Main Street, Bridgehampton

Alison Bretschneider, friend and fabulous eye, opened her second 25Park store—the first is in Manhattan—and luckily for us it’s in Bridge. With its chic design and even chicer clothing, it will be your go-to shop. For me, it’s a no-brainer—I shop for me and my daughter in one place.

Edit Summer

28 Jobs Lane, Southampton

For beach-ready gear from Derek Lam to K. Jacques, look no further than designer-clad Edit’s Southampton store. This new location means more perfectly well-edited items for your summer wardrobe.

The Store at the Surf Lodge

183 Edgemere Street, Montauk

Stop by fab new dad Rogan Gregory’s store at the Surf Lodge for exclusively designed pieces from Loomstate and Surf Bazaar, as well as beach-inspired collections from Tracey Feith and Suno.

Restore exhausted skin with the latest facial from Sjal Skincare at the Baker House. The hotel is heavenly, and the facials are to die for—I want to go every weekend, and I promise you will too.
