NYFW Spring 2013 Hair Trends
Jason Wu (Odile Gilbert for Keratase), Tory Burch (Eugene Souleiman for Wella), Marchesa (Renato Campora for Fekkai) Tracy Reese (Jeanie Syfu for TRESemme)
The 60’s references popped up everywhere, including in the hair, as the 60’s become more of an evergreen point of inspiration as opposed to a trend. From soft, Malibu Barbie braids to tight, random ones worthy of a hippie, the braid’s new executions made the tried-and-true style feel modern.
GET THE LOOK:
Renato Campora for Fekkai started out with slightly damp hair which he combed backwards flat to the head and sprayed with Fekkai Coiff Bouffant Lifting and Texturizing Spray Gel. After blow drying using the palm of the hand to smooth, the hair was divided into three sections, the middle of which was pulled into a ponytail. The two side sections were then divided into multiple sections and braided at random, meeting in the middle over the ear. To complete the look, the whole ponytail was sprayed with the Brilliant Glossing Sheer Shine Mist.
