KORS Michael Kors Rosemary Sandal, $125
Everyone needs a neutral leather sandal in their summer shoe repertoire. Michael Kors’ take is strappy, simple and laidback.  Pair them with cuffed jeans and an untucked button down for a casual cool look.

Dolce Vita Archer Sandal, $69
Dolce Vita’s Archer comes in tons of amazing colors and the gold accents add a bit of glam.  You can even wear them with a sexy romper for a hot summer night.

Bamboo Sandals by Cocobelle, $66
I just love Cocobelle sandals because they are so well-made.  The beaded details are great for a boho vibe.

Jellypop Budapest Sandal, $49
Two trends in one: the flatform and tribal print, make this sandal a must-have for the season.  They look fab with a sundress!

Aldo Lovia Sandal, $20.99
I’ve been into edgy, rocker chic looks for a while so I love the studded details on these Aldo sandals, but the pink adds a fun girly vibe that’s perfect for summer.  Show off your legs and pair them with shorts!

Summer’s Sweetest Maxi Dresses

For the summer season it’s all about rocking a gorgeous maxi dress, an easy style that’s made simple or glam with the right accessories. Check out a few marvelous maxi dresses with great patterns and designs that’ll give your summer wardrobe a bit of a kick!

A simple maxi dress with the right details can make finding something to wear very easy. That’s why I’m totally digging Mandee’s Crochet Maxi Dress ($34.99) with its embellished extras and crochet designs. This style brings simplicity and glam to all ladies on the go.

A statement-maker is always key for fun summer BBQs, and the A|Wear Snake Print Maxi Dress ($37.93 from ASOS) fits the bill perfectly. The snakeskin print and the bold colors make this maxi dress a fashionable must. Ruffles and frilly tiers round out this fun mix!

If you like being a trendsetter, it’s all about rocking Gypsy 05’s Tye Dye Cotton Maxi Dress ($105 on The look is fabulous for adding vintage jewels, a fedora or an oversized tote. With its blend of summer’s hottest two shades (coral and white!), the asymmetric skirt and the haute hippie appeal, this one is worth the splurge!

mark’s It’s A Long Story Dress ($34) makes for the perfect poolside frock. The black and white theme is classic, but the touch of peach adds a fabulous little pop. This maxi gives you the option of showing it off as a halter or sporting it as a strapless style, making it a great transition piece from the pool to late-night cocktail parties.

What I’m Buying This Spring & Summer Fashion Season

By Stacey Mayesh

It’s always a challenge to take the fashion season’s trends and then distill them down to what it means for you. Sometimes you might love something, but it just isn’t right for your body or age. With fashion trends, it’s really important to understand what works for you!

Here’s what I’m coveting for the 2010 spring and summer fashion season—some I’ve already purchased and some I’m still eyeing . . .

1. Elizabeth and James Field Jacket $545
My take on the military trend: my new Elizabeth and James lightweight trench. It’s the perfect transitional jacket for my busy lifestyle running around the city.
Buy at Shopbop

2. Vince Shrunken Blazer $445
I just got this cute navy shrunken blazer by Vince. I’m planning to wear it with my Current/Elliott boyfriend jeans and a little striped tee underneath with a wedge cage shoe.

Buy at Shopbop

3. Lanvin One-Shoulder Ruffle Dress $1,190
I love this Lanvin dress. You can really dress it
up or down, and the color is to die for. It makes
me happy just looking at it.

4. Chloé Wide Leg Vent Pocket Jeans $565
I’m seriously coveting these CHLOE jeans! I need them now!!

Buy at Intermix

5. YSL Agate Disc Necklace $650
This one I already bought—it’s my YSL take on the tribal trend. I plan to throw it on with all of my spring simple tees and tanks. It takes a basic outfit up 10 notches and makes it fantastic.

Buy at Saks

6. Lanvin Macramé Low Sandal $1,110
I’d really like to get these Lanvin macramé sandals—the colors are so much fun. Reminds me of Rasta colors.
Buy at Kirna Zabête

I’m still trying to figure out what bag to get this season . . . there are so many good ones!
